The Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF)

In collaboration with our esteemed partners - Mansfield District Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, and the Department of Education, we're thrilled to roll out the 'Holiday Activities and Food Programmes.

The Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) is funded by the Department for Education. The programme aims to support the wellbeing of children, focussing on physical and mental wellbeing by providing various activities during school holidays.

Express Coaching runs FREE face-to-face sessions for children and young people aged 6 to 13 years and receiving benefits-related free school meals. There are also places available to families with low income – and to children and young people who may face social isolation without the support of HAF - these places are granted individually.

Each session includes at least one meal; this may be breakfast or lunch, depending on the programme offered. Express Coaching offers both Breakfast and Lunch on all of our Camps.

The aims of Nottinghamshire Holiday Activities and Food Programme:

  • to support children to eat healthily

  • to support children to be active during school holidays

  • to support children in their understanding of health and nutrition

  • to support families to be engaged with local support services.

A limited number of paid places will be available on each camp for individuals who are not eligible for HAF Codes. When booking, paying participants must quote 'PAID10' where a HAF code is requested.
